Deputy Prime Minister Chairs Humanitarian Forum on Drought Response

Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Salah Ahmed Jama, chaired the Somalia Humanitarian Forum, organized by the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), and emphasized accelerating drought prevention and response efforts.The forum brought together government bodies and humanitarian partners to coordinate the national response to the worsening drought emergency affecting millions of Somalis.The Deputy Prime Minister has repeatedly stressed that the unaddressed impact of climate change, including recurrent droughts and floods, is among the most profound challenges holding Somalia back from achieving stability and prosperity.
