Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed

Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed is a Somali economist who served as Prime Minister of Somalia from 21 December 2013 to 24 December 2014. He previously held leadership positions at international institutions including the World Bank, USAID, and the Islamic Development Bank. During his tenure he pursued domestic reforms covering the security sector, anti-terrorism legislation, and constitutional review as part of Somalia's post-conflict recovery.
