Hassan Ali Khaire

Hassan Ali Khaire is a Somali-Norwegian politician and businessman who served as Prime Minister of Somalia from 1 March 2017 until 25 July 2020, when parliament passed a no-confidence motion against him. Born in April 1968 in El Buur, he fled to Norway during the civil war and earned a degree in political science from the University of Oslo and an MBA from Edinburgh Business School. Before entering government he worked as a regional director for the Norwegian Refugee Council and as an executive at Soma Oil & Gas.
